Fundraising Information
I was lucky enough to have had my accident while working, so I’m fully covered by Workcover. This means my day-to-day medical supplies, care products, therapists, house modifications and most equipment is taken care of, and I also get a partial salary each week (about a quarter of my normal salary) as well as a disability payout in 2 years. This is a massive relief for me and my family, and a luxury not everyone gets to experience. I know I’m extremely lucky to be covered and I’m so grateful for this.
However Workcover will not fund any overseas treatments, especially anything to do with stem-cells, and while it seems like Workcover’s contributions are a lot (which of course they are), it’s nowhere near what is needed for long periods of time overseas and the cost of these cutting-edge treatments.
That’s why I have donation facilities in place, in the hope that people who feel that they want to help but aren’t sure how, can help in this way. Absolutely anything will be gratefully accepted and appreciated, and all proceeds are going directly towards my overseas trips, and to getting me back on my feet!
Rhys Lewis – Limited Edition Canvas Prints
My brother Rhys is a photographer – some of his work can be seen in the header of this site. Rhys has generously donated the ‘Limited Edition Fundraising Series’, a collection of stunning limited edition prints of the Margaret River area in Western Australia. The series was captured during a recent trip to the other side of the country. All proceeds will go towards my appeal, so please visit rhyslewis.com.au to check out these amazing photos for yourself.
